Expanded Self-Portrait
The artist is be the primary focus of this project, however they does not have to be the only element. A traditional portrait can be created or a more expanded, symbolic approach can be taken. A self-portrait does not have to include the artist’s face or even their image. What elements, objects, ideas, or actions describe and represent the self? What are you trying to convey to the viewer? What do you want to reveal/conceal from the viewer? How are you treating the setting? Is there a narrative or story involved in the image?
