Protest Print
As a medium that is capable of cheap, mass production printmaking has a rich history of involvement in activism, organizing, and awareness in a vast array of movements. In this project, students joined this legacy in creating their own “issues” print, exploring a message they are passionate about and want to raise awareness of/push for change on. These linocuts were made using the reduction method, and needed to integrate both text and image. The final prints were printed bleed on 8” x 10” Masa paper.
